M Teresa Lawrence is a visionary leader whose multifaceted initiatives are making waves across the globe. From her contributions to “That Impact Book” to her leadership in the Trueness Project, Lawrence embodies the spirit of transformative philanthropy. Her work spans continents and disciplines, aiming to uplift communities through innovative projects that address both immediate needs and long-term sustainability.
Launching “That Impact Book” in Times Square
On March 25th, New York City will witness the launch of “That Impact Book,” a coffee table book that celebrates changemakers dedicated to making a positive difference in the world. M Teresa Lawrence is among the distinguished contributors who have penned essays on six pillars of impact: Inspire, Mastery, Perseverance, Achieve, Create, and Transformation.
The book aims to inspire readers through powerful narratives and stunning visuals. “It’s designed to be a beautiful coffee table book so that people are drawn to it,” Lawrence explains. “As you open it up, you are drawn to look at the powerful design of the book. The images and text literally impact the readers and inspire positive change.”
The launch event will be a grand affair in Times Square, with contributors adorned in gold to match the book’s elegant cover. The event promises not only to spotlight the contributors but also to amplify their collective message of global impact.
The Trueness Project: Uplifting Communities Through Consciousness
At the heart of Lawrence’s philanthropic efforts is the Trueness Project, a nonprofit organization committed to raising consciousness and facilitating transformative change worldwide. “Our impact is huge, and it reverberates,” says Lawrence. “We’re starting small, but our mission is to uplift each other and the world.”
One of the project’s cornerstone initiatives is the Grand Butterfly Gathering, scheduled for June 28, 2025. This global event invites participants to don butterfly attire, symbolizing transformation and the beauty of diversity. “Butterflies come in all different colors, and they bring magic and wonder into the world,” Lawrence notes. “Humans come in all different colors and we are clearly magical. We just have to remember that we are all sharing a journey of transformation. That’s what the event is all about. Bringing magic back to community.”
Empowering Youth in Kenya Through Sports and Technology
Lawrence’s impact extends to the Kibera slums of Kenya, where she is spearheading the creation of a flag football league. This initiative aims to provide youth with constructive activities that promote teamwork, discipline, and hope. “We’re taking the necessary steps to get government approval to start a flag football league in Kenya,” she shares. “It’s about building partnerships that create great impact everywhere we go.”
In addition to sports, Lawrence is working on introducing eco-friendly 3D housing printers to Kenya in order to create jobs and ease housing shortages. Partnering with SIRE3D, a company striving to restructure the future of commercial real estate through technology and working to establish a partnership with the National Housing Corporation in Kenya, the Trueness Project is presently seeking funding to turn this initiative into a reality. “Our goal is to operate the 3D housing printer in a university setting so that we can teach the students how to build houses and create real estate developments.” Lawrence explains. “It’s a win-win all the way around.”
Coffee Fundraiser: Brewing Change One Cup at a Time
To draw attention to these ambitious projects, Lawrence has launched a coffee fundraiser in collaboration with the Tower Roasting Company of Bend, Oregon “This fundraiser is designed to raise funds for the Kibera Slums.” Lawrence explains. “For those of us who love coffee and want to contribute to making the world a better place, this fundraiser is perfect.”
Developing a TV Show on True Impact
Recognizing the power of media to influence and inspire, Lawrence is in the process of developing a television series titled “True Impact.” The show will spotlight groundbreaking technologies and initiatives that have the potential to transform societies. Topics will range from renewable energy solutions to innovative housing projects.
“There are technologies that can transform the world,” Lawrence asserts. “Our goal is to involve community stakeholders, involve the government, and use these technologies to create jobs and impact globally.” The TV show will focus on innovative technologies and how they are being implemented to uplift communities.
Transformative Philanthropy: The Power of Conscious Giving
Central to all of Lawrence’s endeavors is the concept of transformative philanthropy. She believes in empowering individuals and communities by providing them with the tools and opportunities to effect their own change. “Money isn’t going to transform anything,” she states. “The upliftment of consciousness is.”
Through her various projects, Lawrence emphasizes the importance of giving that goes beyond financial aid. It’s about fostering self-reflection, personal growth, and community involvement. “When you give someone who doesn’t feel they have any power, a real opportunity to make positive choices, it’s an empowering moment,” she explains. “It’s about developing the mindset that will use money wisely.”
Looking Ahead: A Vision for Global Upliftment
M Teresa Lawrence’s multifaceted initiatives demonstrate a holistic approach to philanthropy—one that addresses physical needs while nurturing the human spirit. Whether through books, community events, or innovative technologies, her work is united by a singular vision: to create a more conscious, compassionate, and connected world.
As the launch of “That Impact Book” approaches and the Grand Butterfly Gathering gears up for another year, Lawrence remains steadfast in her mission. “The world is changing, and the Trueness Project is at the forefront of it,” she affirms. “We’re here to uplift each other and to bring magic and wonder into the world.”
